The performance of an organization is directly related to the quality of leaders it has. Yet, many organizations fail to develop leaders for the future. Many managers find themselves doing operational work that limits their growth potential. As a result, they may not be able to develop their full potential. On top of that, many organizations define leadership in terms economic imperative and their expectations in terms of meeting KPIs and financial targets. Task assignment and reward structure is tied to making more and more money.
Consequently, leaders may sometime lose their moral compass. This can be seen in the many corporate scandals in recent history. In order to do good to society, leaders must have a conscience. Developing future leaders involves a well thought out program that is supported by an environment that is conducive and supportive of personal growth, new competency development and a commitment to moral standards.
This program will lay out the requirements for developing such future leaders. It is a model developed by Dr Tareq Al-Suwaidan and has been used in the leadership development programs.
